About GPEC

Gulf Planning and Engineering Consultancy (LTD) was established in February 1965 in Tehran by a group of geomatics experts to provide engineering services. The company is currently active in various fields, including land surveying, geodesy, micro geodesy, terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry, hydrography, cadastral surveying, database creation, , geographic information system (GIS) development, satellite image analysis and processing (remote sensing), urban planning and design, water resources engineering and management, river and coastal engineering, environmental and natural resource management, transportation engineering, and traffic engineering.
With over half a century of experience in geomatics, the company has rendered invaluable services in advancing regional infrastructure projects, successfully completing more than 500 civil throughout the Middle East.

Tariq Al-Irshad has facilitated the enhancement of technical and scientific knowledge and the attraction of business by sending personnel to educational institutions domestically and internationally on scholarships. In response to the need for project implementation, the company has invited both domestic and foreign professors and experts, whose expertise and knowledge have been utilized. In collaboration with academic institutions in Europe, it has designed software within the remote sensing (RS) framework. This exchange of ideas and insights represents the most significant scientific and technical capital of these consulting engineers.
In 2024, the company expanded its engineering services into the Sultanate of Oman under the name Gulf Planning and Engineering Consultancy (GPEC), providing specialized engineering services.
